Around the World in 80 Days is a fast‑paced adventure that follows the eccentric English gentleman Phileas Fogg and his spirited, devoted companion Passepartout as they race around the globe in just 80 days to win an impossible wager. They encounter elephants, train robberies, a rescue from a funeral pyre and one very determined Detective Fix hot on their heels. Their journey is filled with humor and daring escapes requiring a large ensemble. This high-energy, comedic adventure celebrates curiosity, courage, and the thrill of adventure.

Each show has its own requirements. The announcement tells you what to prepare, what to wear, and what to bring — so read it carefully before you do anything else.

Prepare

Work on whatever the Audition Announcement asks for. Keep going until your lines or your song feel second nature — when you're confident in your performance, it shows.

Our casting panel wants to see the real you — how you carry yourself, how you take direction, and the energy you bring into the room. Relax, trust your preparation, and let your personality come through.

Common Questions

Do I need prior experience to audition?

Not at all. Accolade welcomes first-time performers. The director will always consider enthusiasm and commitment alongside skill.

What age ranges do you cast?

We are a youth theatre — our productions are cast with performers ages 5–19. Adults are welcome to be part of the community as volunteers and crew.

Is there a fee to participate?

Most productions have a participation fee: $50 per child for the first two children in a family, and $25 per child for the third and beyond. Scholarship assistance is available — just reach out at info@accoladetheatre.org and ask.

How do I know when auditions are announced?

Join our mailing list or follow us on social media. Audition announcements typically go out about 30 days before the audition date.
