Thanks so much for being part of “Annie Jr.” We are so excited about this cast and crew. It’s really a special event and we are so glad that YOU are part of it. As the performance days get closer there are a few things we need to keep in mind. Please read through the tabs below and act accordingly. This page will be updated as we get closer to the show, so refer back to it as needed.
Rehearsals will be held at First United Methodist Church Richardson Wednesdays 3:30 to 6pm. Additional rehearsals may be added on Fridays especially in the month of May. Tech Week rehearsals will take place at our performance venue which is located at the Granville Arts Center in Garland. A full rehearsal schedule will be provided at the time of auditions. Rehearsals begin Wednesday February 22nd.
All performances will be held at the Granville Arts Center in Garland. (300 N Fifth St Garland, TX 75040)
TECH / DRESS WEEK:
Please mark Tech Rehearsal dates in your calendar as they are mandatory and crucial to the performance. If your child is unable to attend any of the rehearsals listed below, please make sure to list all conflicts on the registration form or at the time of auditions. Missing Tech Rehearsal Dates may possibly affect casting. All Tech Week rehearsals will be held at the performance venue.

COST: $50 FOR FIRST TWO CHILDREN, $25 EACH ADDITIONAL CHILD
Our heart is to provide affordable theatre for students so we strive to keep our cost minimal. The cost of the show helps us cover the cost of the show expenses. If your student needs a scholarship or you would be willing to offer a scholarship to another student please let us know. Payment is due on the first rehearsal. You may pay by check, Zelle, or PayPal. To pay by PayPal, you can use the Production Orders Tab of this page.
Additional costs associated with the show is the cost of jazz or character shoes and costumes. Some costumes are specific to the character but most costumes can be thrifted and won't cost an arm and a leg. Tickets must be purchased anytime you are seated in the auditorium to watch the show. Ticket prices are TBD. We have to go through the Granville Arts Center System and we don't know the exact pricing yet. We will let you know as soon as possible. There will also be an opportunity for students to purchase show t-shirts, accolade ads in the program for students, concessions, etc.
PARENT VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT
Accolade Community Theatre is a volunteer-run organization. We rely on parent involvement to help keep kids safe and ensure our rehearsals and performances run smoothly. You will be asked to volunteer at 2-3 regularly-scheduled rehearsals, as well as take volunteer shifts during tech week and performances. In total, volunteer time may add up to around 20 hours over the course of the semester. We understand there are different seasons of life and there may be special circumstances. We are certainly willing to work with you! But please be aware that participating in a play with Accolade does involve a family time commitment.

We are hiring Valerie Enoch to make the costumes for us. Ideally, we would like to procure a sponsor or multiple sponsors to help cover the cost of hiring a costume mistress. Another possibility is to ask you to pay $35 per child to help cover this cost. As of right now, we are not collecting any payments from families. We will keep you updated as we know more information on whether or not we will have a sponsor.

For now, we need parents to submit measurements for each of their children participating in Annie Jr. Please submit your measurements IMMEDIATELY!! We need the measurements no later than Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
